After D & E, need new Doctor...
Hello all!! Since my loss at 5 months pregnant, and my traumatizing experience at StonyBrook Hospital, I am looking for a new doctor that delivers elsewhere. I live in Patchogue, so the surrounding areas would be nice. I also need a doctor that is sensitive, and is willing to kind of "hand hold" me with the next pregnancy.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!!

No advice here but just wanted to offer  We lost our son at 17wk3d... so I can sort of relate to the timing and the trauma of it all.

Thanks for the reply Pennycat! I have followed your story, and I appreciate you reaching out. It is one of those things you think will never happen to you...but it did!! I want to start trying in January, but I want to find a good OBGYN soon. My obgyn urged me to call him for referrals when I am ready, because he knew I probably wasn't going to see him after the postop appointment. I am going to call him today.

 I really do hope you find the hand-holding doctor you're looking for and deserve. That's the kind of doctor I like too, but unfortunately in my experiences I was not able to find that in an OB. I used Dr.Pilliterri and after we had our loss, he didn't bother to reach out at all .. check in .. nothing! I called to cancel my 18wk appt because I was no longer pregnant and was told to have a nice day! I know there are amazing doctors out there with fabulous bedside manners... I believe it's possible to get the best of both worlds!
