After having contractions at 29 weeks and being hospitalized I am now on bedrest.
Last week I started having really bad stomach pains that I was sure was an intestinal problem, but when I described them to my mom she said I should go to the ER. I did and it turns out that I had been having contractions(although that isnt the pains I was feeling). After three nights in the Labor and Delivery ER, I was finally admitted to the hospital. I was in the worst pain of my life. They kept telling me the baby was fine, but I knew something was wrong with my body so I demanded that they send a GI dr. to examine me. Turns out that I have C Dif...a bacterial intestinal problem that is highly contagious. I was put in an isolation room where everyone who came in had to suit up to cover their whole bodies and I wasnt allowed to leave my bed. (the only saving grace was that I could hear the cries of the newborns.)
So....basically I got C Diff after having 2 consecutive UTI's in which the antibiotics killed all my good bacteria. The C Diff then caused me to start contracting and my cervix shortenend.
I am now on bedrest so will probably be on here ALOT! I have to go out on disability from work.
It was the worst pain in the world because my intestines kept on spasming...and it was difficult for them to figure out what was wrong because it presented like contractions...but Im back home now so I figured Id give an update on where Ive been!!!
This baby better stay in there a little longer!!

Thanks! Too bad it took me 3 visits to the ER to do it though!! I started to think that as long as the baby was OK they would just let me die--I knew something wasnt right.

wow, what a story! i'm so glad you got to the bottom of what was really wrong, and that you're better now.
i did bed rest for 7 weeks because of contractions... it's not as bad as it sounds. you will get through it and have a wonderful little prize at the end 
hang in there!
