after my million questions here, we finally bought kitchen appliances!

We wound up getting them at Home Depot. We needed ALL new kitchen appliances for the new house. We picked all Maytag appliances and got a really great deal. All Maytag appliances were 10% off. (We didn't know this when we picked them out previously) Then we got an additional 10% + no interest for 1 year for opening the home depot card. Then we got $100 rebate, free delivery rebate, and a whole bunch of free Home Depot gift cards. (Normally we would NEVER open a store credit card just to save the 10%, but the amount was too high for us not to. They even made it the full 10%, even though the discount was over the published $200 savings limit. They were SO nice about it, too, and did this without us asking.)

With just the 10% off + 10% for opening the card we saved $600! And Home Depot had the lowest advertised prices we found on the appliances we selected. Even though we just spent a ton of money, I feel good about the savings!

One more thing crossed off the list! They are being delivered in less than 2 weeks. (We don't take possession until the middle of next week and they come the following saturday) I'm so excited to say goodbye to the old green appliances!

great deal! It does feel good when you receive such a big discount even though you just spent a lot of money. We just went through the same thing with our appliances. YAY, no more green!

I was so proud of us for saving so much (even though we spent so much money all at once)!

I should also say I was very impressed with the customer service. I didn't expect great service from Home Depot, but everyone was so nice and polite. There was a man there throwing a fit about not haivng an associate available to help him order something custom (they were busy helping others with orders and had asked him to politely wait). The man must have gone all over the store getting every manager he could and dragging them back there. I was SO impressed with how polite they were and how fair and accomodating they were (never lost their patience) to someone who was, in all honesty, be unreasonable and downright obnoxious.

It made me feel a bit better about shopping there!
