After School Wokshop Ideas for 4th Grade
Does anyone have any good ideas for an after school workshop. We offer them in our school and I have done 2 already (ELA and Math test Prep). When the 3rd trimester rolls around, I am thinking of doing another one. It would be for an house after school for about 6 weeks. I only want to stay away from science. Any suggestions are appreciated.

The research shows that intermediate boys lag behind in reading, so if you have books that they are interested in, it encourages reading, i.e time warp trio, mike lupica, dan gutman, etc
you can really run with it anyway you want to...have them read at home or listen as a group and break into pairs to read together, etc...if you can bring in food, that helps them want to come....have them sign into a secret book...have activities for after (for knights of the kitchen table, I knighted the group, we also built a 3-D puzzle of a castle)
