After your wedding. . . .

Where did you get your dress cleaned & preserved? Do you just take it to a regular dry cleaner or go through those websites where you ship it to them?

TIA--It's been a little over a year so it's about time!

Re: After your wedding. . . .

i brought it back to the boutique where I bought it, and they sent it to the cleaners they use. I got a call when it was ready.

Re: After your wedding. . . .

I used a dry cleaner that we have been going to for years. She shipped it out and it came and it came back within 2 weeks - beautifully preserved!

Now I just need to figure out what I'm gong to do with it (storage-wise)

I used WedClean.net

My gown is currently in it's storage box in our basement on a storage rack. The basement stays a consistent temp and we have a Santa Fe dehumidifier.

I used wedclean too.

I was very impressed with the results. I have delicate silk organza on my dress hem. They cleaned it very well plus didn't do any further damage to it. (It was stepped on and had a small hole in it.) It's now beautifully displayed in a box in the back of my closet. I only took it out to inspect it when I received it.

I used a dry cleaner someone on LIW recommended on Jericho in East Northport (MK?) and it was $75 or something like that. I think it took two weeks or less.

yeah, same here...I really need to get it done, though. I opened the bag a few months ago and it smelled like fermented grapes...apparently someone spilled some white wine or something on me and I didn't know about it. Chat Icon
