Re: afternoon nursery school
Dd started her 3 yo program in september. She went from 1-330. When we signed her up, she was still napping, but she quickly outgrew those. She did fine in the afternoons. Some days she was cranky, but was always good for her teacher.

Re: afternoon nursery school
DS will be 3 next week.....I opted for morning PreK because the ugly "no nap head" that rears itself around 5pm is SO not worth it for me!!!
DS can go in for a nap no later then 3pm (he sleeps 1 1/2 hrs solid every day still) so pre school ending at 3 was a scary thought because he would take forever to wind down.
sorry...realized I am no help

Re: afternoon nursery school
My DS started preschool this past year (at 3) by that time he was long done with his nap and he was a late riser so he did fine. I also have friends whose kids were up at 6 am and did the afternoons with no naps and were fine as well. We actually all really like the afternoons - makes for a less stressful morning! At 3, I don't think many are napping at least most of the kids in DS's class are not. Alot of times we even do playdates after school and all the kids are fine!
