Age group for 1st bike?
My mom will be coming next Christmas (yay!!) and she is talking about getting DS his 1st bike. I think he is a bit young but what do I know. He will be 2.5 at Christmas. We could almost use it in the following Spring or later though.
Just wondering at what age kids get their 1st bike.

My parents just asked me this question yesterday. I told them to hold off on getting DS his first bike until he is 3.

my daughter is 2.5 and she has a tricycle and loves it. we are getting a bike with training wheels maybe in a year.

Maybe you could look into getting a bike with a push bar -kettler makes one, and so does little tykes (like this: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3417612)... that way it could grow with your DC.
I see alot of kids in my neighborhood with them.

Ds just got his 1st...He's 3.5, before then I think he would have had a bit of a tough time, but now its perfect for him
