Ahh just had a talk with my boss

My boss just asked me about what I intend on doing when the baby comes.

I had been planning on talking to him when I got back from vacation next week, but I am going to take the summer off and then work if he is willing, on a very limited basis following the arrival of the baby.

He was very nice and understanding told me he understands that the baby is my priority.
Such a relief that is over!

Thats awesome.

I think my boss got upset when i told him I was pregnant. The first thing he asked me was if I intend on coming back. He never even asked me when I was due. I finally got a congrats out of him as I was leaving his office - AFTER I told him I was definitely coming back to work.

Uughh.

Those corporate stiffs.

thats cool that he didnt give you a hard time about working part time.

I am still waiting to hear back from my boss. If they dont let me work part time, then I have to find another job

Oh I have to have "the talk" tomorrow and I hope mine goes as well!! I have it all planned out, but I'm pretty nervous about it for some reason.

I hadn't plannedon having it for awhile, (i'm 10w tomorrow), but my boss brought it up last week, I will work from home for awhile and go in on Fridays (DH is off) and then at 3 mo. I'll go back ft (I'm still going to discuss later on maybe working from home one day a week still or changing hours to 8-4).

My boss was happy that I was pregnant, but then got worried about how much time I was planning on taking and what he would do without me.

Now that I'm almost 39 weeks and there are 2 big projects due next week, he's really freaking out. My temp just started last week and I'm completely stressed out trying to do my work of things due this week while trying to jump ahead to things that are due the following week.

He has been supportive, but I think I've also been a pretty good employee by scheduling doctor appointments for late in the day. I only called in sick twice when I had a bad cold and I have maintained my workload. Now he knows I can "go" at any time now...
