You are allowed to vent.
I work for a catholic school. One who told me that "taking pills to GET pregnant was against the christian faith"...(this is back when I had severe pcos and need to take a low dosage of the bcp to try to help "rid" them)

But yet...they are fine with chemotherapy?

I have gone through alot through the church during my struggle to get pregnant and I have come to the conclusion that they do not understand because THEY ARE NEVER going to be in that situation.

Just like when a priest cousels couples on marriage... they can't really help since they don't understand truely....

Do not take it personally though. They only know what they have been taught and live that daily so don't understand anything besides that. ..

I am sorry you have to add something like this to your list of worries. This nun had no right to put something like this on your shoulders.

During our Pre Cana classes we touched the subject of procreation and the Natural Family Planning method . On one hand in the eyes of the church the purpose of marriage is to procreate. But if you cannot conceive naturally then you're other option is to adopt. Do not get me wrong, I have no problem with adoption and if that is what we turn to then so be it. But we have all been given the opportunity to use other methods to have a family then why should we made feel guilty or ashamed. Please do not let this nun make you feel bad about what you are doing, the end result is a miracle that your husband and you created, with just a little bit of help. There is nor right or wrong way to have children.
