This year really stinks.....I can NOT believe what the heck is wrong with people who are voting. I was a Gina fan (don't think she's as good as some of the others) but come on.....what the heck is Sanjaya and Haley still doing on??????? I just don't get it!!!

I'm just as upset as everyone that Gina went home. I knew she wouldn't win but I was rooting for her bc I liked her style.
But Sanjaya is not going to win the whole thing. He's going to be there for a while, unfortunately, but he's not going to win in the end, because eventually the voting will be more even.
What I mean is right now Sanjaya is the standout so he's getting all the votes from the VFTW people and the Howard Stern followers etc. and all the AI supporters who vote are spreading their votes across all the other contestants. Eventually, the AI supporters (so long as they don't stop voting) will have fewer people to vote for, and most likely (hopefully  ) outnumber the VFTW people.

I agree with the poster who said"Look at all the attention AI is recieving now" though I cannot for one second belive Simon is happy about this.
Gina should have never gone home...period
According to Opie and Anthony, they said they don't believe there are enough Howard fans to make this happen, but they do contribute to the BS.
Maybe now people are also voting for Haley as the runner up to the worst and want to make sure SHE stays now. Who knows. I would love to say I am done too but I just can't help but watch it. Maybe they knew they picked the worst top 12 ever so they had to make it interesting even though I have learned to love many of them...especially Blake

I am disappointed, Gina was my favorite, she was truly different. No she was not a diva like melinda, lakisha or even jordin, but she had such a unique style.
I hope she still goes on to make a record, because I would definitely buy it.
As for the voting- I think they should change it so you vote for who you want to be voted OFF the show, instead of who you want to stay on. This would limit the # of multiple votes for crappy people to stay on.

Although it annoys me that Sanjaya is still in, I have to remind myself that once they reach the top 10, there is no difference between being #2 through #10. They're all going on tour, and coming in second place doesn't get you anything more than coming in 9th, does it?
The ones getting voted off now are in the bottom of the pile, so they're not going to make it to the top 3 even.
As there are less contestants but more voters per contestant, I think Sanjaya will be out. I don't see him making the top 3.

ITA. I lvoed her & was very upset to see her go over San-gina, Hallie and Phil. Such a sin.
As for the voting- I think they should change it so you vote for who you want to be voted OFF the show, instead of who you want to stay on. This would limit the # of multiple votes for crappy people to stay on.
I think this would help to solve the problem a little but then the VFTW people would vote for the best to go first.....so I am not 100% sure that this would work on its own. I think it also needs to work in conjunction with the judges input, and not just "its was aiiiight dog" I mean real quantitative judging.
OH and Simon is eating this up b/c viewership at this stage is the highest it is compared to other years & he is still making a ton of $$ no matter who America votes for. And the show is picking up more sponsors.
