Airbrush Tanning
Did anyone's Doctor specifically tell them "no"? My doctor was pretty vague and I didn't want to press the issue and sound vain. But I really can't take my pastiness anymore and to make matters worse, I have awful spider veins on my legs (I've always had them and now with the pregnancy they are worse). Usually when I'm tan they are less noticeable. I am so dreading having to bare my legs in the warm weather without any sort of cover up. Plus, I'd like to have somewhat of a tan for my shower and maternity pics in May.
Honest thoughts/opinions??

Re: Airbrush Tanning
I wasnt told yes but I wasnt told no so I have gone several times. I know there was a thread on here a couple weeks ago about it and the general consensus was NO.

Re: Airbrush Tanning
Yeah, I started a thread on this a few weeks ago and yes, the general consesus was NO. The more I thought about it, it wasn't worth any possible amount of harm that could possibly occur. Just that possibility was enough for me not to do it. Oh well, I am going to be the pale white bridesmaid next week. It is what it is.

Where did you get these from? I feel like they would be difficult to use. Do they go on even?

Re: Airbrush Tanning
I asked a friend of mine who does airbrush tanning as her profession. She said that there really isn't anything that says that you can't do it, however, there really isn't that much research that its safe to do while preg either. She said that if she was preg, she wouldn't do it herself just because there are just too many unknowns.

Re: Airbrush Tanning
Anyone know if the Sally Hansen airbrush legs is safe? It's essentially just spray on makeup and it actually works pretty well...

Just one more thing I didn't think about!
I have been using the Jergen's self tanner because I can't take my pastiness either. I hope it's okay.

Re: Airbrush Tanning
My doctor said Jergens is fine, any mositurizer with a tint is fine.
He said airbrush is a NO, NO. He said it is poision and i shouldnt do it not pregnant
He is pretty laid back about things. He feels if something is bad for me it is bad for baby..this falls into this catergory. SORRY to deliver bad news I am pasty myself

Here is a link to the Environmental Working Group's info on self tanning lotions - some get very good scores for having no chemicals... EWG's Self Tanning List
