alarm clocks in room with baby?
I was thinking this morning when my husbands alarm went off that it was crazy loud and wondering what we are supposed to do once we have a newborn sleeping in the room with us. I don't want to wake the baby at 5:30am when my husband gets up! What are you supposed to do?? Maybe I should post this under parenting...

You know, I've been wondering the same thing, honestly. I would like to start DD out in the nursery right away, but we have no idea how that will play out.
DH is awful with his alarm, he will often let it go off for 5 minutes before he wakes up to turn it off. Probably not conducive to having a newborn sleeping in the room.

hahahahaaaaaaaaaa.... what makes you think the baby won't already be up?????
I'm sorry - I'm not trying to be mean...
Don't worry about it too much - either DC will be awake already nursing/drinking the bottle, or if you have a child like mine.... she slept right through the alarm!

Re: alarm clocks in room with baby?
lol, I know there is a good chance the baby will be up already but my concern is obviously if by any chance they are still sleeping!! I can't imagine the baby being able to sleep through this alarm!! Maybe we will just have to keep the baby in the nursery right away... who knows.

You could have him start using his cell phone on vibrate-put it under the pillow-it should wake him up but not the baby

Re: alarm clocks in room with baby?
If it's a problem, move the baby to his/her own room. Wait & see how it goes.

Re: alarm clocks in room with baby?
my dh was so worried about this! this baby doesn't budge when the alarm goes off. don't worry, the baby will get used to it and ignore it
