Alaskan Cruise
We are leaving on Friday for our cruise - stopping in Seattle first for two nights and then onto Alaska. Any last minute suggestions for packing, sights, anything? We'll be away for 9 nights, crusing 7 nights on the Norweigan Pearl.
Thanks so much!

Re: Alaskan Cruise
Have fun!! We did the same cruise on the Pearl in May. Make sure to pack layers, DH had to buy a winter coat because it was so cold in Skagway. In contrast, it was warm in Ketchikan and Victoria, so you needed t-shirts and shorts.
There is plenty of storage space in the cabins so don't worry about having too many clothes.
Eat at all the speciality restaurants, they were all great. The only ones I wasn't crazy about were the Blue Lagoon and Mambos. Cagneys and Le Bistro are great!
Enjoy!

Re: Alaskan Cruise
we went on the Pearl this time last year... the weather was beautiful!!! My favorite excursions were zip-lining, buschart gardens in victoria, dog mushers camp, and the lumber jack show was pretty cool to watch... enjoy your trip!!

Re: Alaskan Cruise
Thank you so much everyone for the advice! We're so excited but I'm not sure how much of different clothes to bring? I don't want to be underprepared but I also don't want to be bogged down with too much wintry clothing?

When we went the weather was beautiful... i dont think you need winter clothes at all!! I just had a hooded sweatshirt, and a light hoodie... i dressed in layers and was fine...i wore a lot of capris or pants that could roll up... every port has a ton of tourist shopping and if you have abnormally cold weather you can always buy something real quick- the prices werent bad at all... DH got a fleece vest for under $10 that he loves! when we went through glacier bay, that was the coldest it was and i sat on the balacony the entire time in my sweatpants and sweatshirt and was fine...
