alimentum moms
My DD has just turned one years old and is now ready to start transitioning to whole milk. How was the transition for your DC? Any tips? Is whole milk always the way to go? What about 2%? Any help is appreciated! TIA!

Re: alimentum moms
Kev was on Alimentum as a baby. When I transitioned to whole milk - we did it slowly, (oz at a time mixed with formula) and by the time I got to 2-3 oz's I saw issues. My son was crazy cranky - I am talking colic cranky. He wouldn't leave my arms and cried all day. I thought it may have been teeth at first but I went back to straight formula for a day and he was fine. So I started the transition over with soy milk (my dr said try soy or lactaid) and it went fine. He is 3 and on soy milk ever since. He appears to be lactose intolerant like his daddy. He can have things made with milk products but his stomach can't handle milk, yogurt, some cheese, etc.
I had feelings he was going to be because when I introduced yogurt (regular yo baby) - he was always cranky the days he had it.

At about 9 or 10 months we transitioned them back to regular Similac, and then when it came time to transition to whole milk at 12 months, we did that very slowly.
