All free and clear verses Dreft?
Does anyone know the difference of All free and clear detergent verses Dreft?
We used Draft with DD but I really am unsure of any difference w/the All.
Is everyone using Dreft for their newborns?

Re: All free and clear verses Dreft?
nope im not using dreft..it's too expensive. I just went to BJ's and bough all free n clear..it was i believe 15 dollars... I read on the pregnancy board that a lot of girls use this and their newborns are fine :) i cant see spending that extra money if it's not necessary

Crashing...not a mom BUT my dermo and gyno recommended Free and Clear (All, Tide, etc.) over any other detergent for EVERYONE including newborns.

Re: All free and clear verses Dreft?
I've actually never used Dreft. I think it's exhorbitantly expensive, and All Free & Clear is the exact same thing.
I'm currently using BJ's brand Free & Clear (HE) and it's been fine, too.
The *only* Dreft I've ever used is the stain spray. That stuff is great for blowouts and the like!

I love the way Dreft smells, but I'll probably use all or tide free and clear because its cheaper.

I've never used Dreft either.... it's a complete marketing ploy for Mom's because All Free & Clear does the exact same job and is MUCH cheaper!

I think anything that is free of dyes and perfumes is fine. Dreft is pricey just because of the name.

Ditto. We've been using the 7th Generation Free & Clear (says it's for babies) on the baby's stuff...and I picked it up on super sale.

Dreft is pricey, and doesn't take out any formula stains!!! It smells great....but thats about it.

We use it too!
DH bought the wrong detergent the other day, All HE with a scent, but it's usually the Free and Clear...
Never used Dreft and had no problems, and DS has pretty sensitive skin.

Re: All free and clear verses Dreft?
The cost! I refused to pay that kind of money for detergent you're frequently going to use. I'd be broke! I always used All Free and Clear.

Re: All free and clear verses Dreft?
I am with teh other BTDT moms. I think the only dreft I used was 1 container I got as a gift. Since then I have used All F&C and DS is now 2.5 and has never had any issues from it.
