All paper work now in the bank - how long until i get a firm closing date?

As of this morning I got the last paper work that the bank swore the underwriters needed so how long until I get a closing date (around)?

It will depend on when the lawyers for both sides and the bank, and all the other people that involved in closing can plan a day to close. We were contacted on a Thursday and told that our closing was the following Monday.

Ask your lawyer, he/she will know the scheduling and have a good idea.

well, everyone has to agree on a time & date. However, we didn't get the "clear to close" until about 2 days before. this is the point where the bank gives all the documents to your lawyer and he/she gives you a list of checks to bring. unfortunately, with us we didn't get it until the day before

i know its unfair & it stinks but this is also because of the government now being involved. i'm sure it will be like this for awhile.

it will be worth it!! once you get those keys in your hands you & DH can celebrate!

I was told the underwriters needed 48 hours to approve everything. Then the lawyers get together and figure out a date good for them and then ask you and the sellerif that date works for you. Probably within 2 weeks?

thank you i hope for a Oct 19th date if not sooner. So I figured a week my friend just told me after she got everything together she had a closing date three days after (underwriters had taken two days and the next day they were at closing) so lets up everyone's schedules are free so we can get into our house LoL
