All these Italy posts are making my heart hurt
we won't be back for at least a year. 
I am so jealous of you all and I hope you all have a FABULOUS time. it's really a special special place.
maybe one day....you can visit ME there.

i hear you Ophelia! DH and I haven't been over in 2 years (FIL has huge house over there!) We'll be taking DD next year... thought it might be good if she could sit up before we go!

Donegal...my cousin has a small 2 br apt in Milano. I would KILL for family with a big house
my "problem" is there are other places to see...and I can only afford one major trans-ocean vacation a year
next year, it's either back to Spain or France...to see the places we haven't seen yet. with a stop in London for Wimbledon.
well, this is what I am dreaming..we'll see if I can make it work.

i love it too and want to retire there!
i think about visiting almost everyday....my avatar pic is sicily
i did go to epcot this year and pretended i was in italy....it worked for a little bit thanks to the wine and gelato!!!LOL!

Yup! I think it's such a shame that most people overlook Milan when they visit. It is our favorite city in Italy, not to mention it is home to our favorite soccer team, LOL!

I am jaelous too!! We were planning a Big family trip next summer for my cousin's wedding. It would have Dh's first time. But, we just found out I am expecting and due in April...I am NOT taking a 3 month old on an 8 hour flight, not to mention packing all the supplies it would require. We will have to postpone about a year and I am pretty bummed. Although very happy about

Aww, they love babies over there. They have everything you would need over there as far as diapers, formula, etc. At that age I think it is easier to fly. Congrats, by the way.

Same here...I miss it soo much right now.
DH & I had planned on going back again next year - this time visiting my family in Torino & than down to the Amalfi coast.
A good friend of mine from HS, got engaged a few weeks back & is getting married at her family's hotel in Greece (Kefalonia) next summer & we're invited - hotel on them
With that kind of offer on the table, I told DH I don't want to pass on seeing Greece.

 I wouldn't either. Greece is in our top 3 next destinations. that is awesome!!
Torino is one of the first cities we ever visited in Italy. I really liked it (even if it IS home to Juve  )
I remember going into a bakery one night when we were too tired to sit down to dinner. got a bunch of little things...pizzette, paninni, foccaccia...wine..and had a nice lil picnic back at our hotel.
it was COLD though. we went in november. I'll never forget the crisp Alpine air.
I can really see us moving there one day.
going to Europe in general, and Italy specifically, so often, has really changed our outlook about life. 
PS: Squiggy...FORZA MILAN!! serie A starts THIS WEEKEND. it could be ugly.

Damn! We will be in Pittsburgh visiting DH's sister. I know he printed out the schedule. Guess we'll just have to DVR  .
