Allergy to cow's milk causing sleep problems?
DS has been on soy due to cow's milk allergies.
His ped said that most babies grow out of cow's milk allergies by a year old and that we should slowing transition him to regular cow's milk formula. (mixing larger portions in week by week with the soy).
DS has had sleep issues coinciding with the transition to cow's milk, getting worse and worse every week, but we chalked it up to his colds/ear infections that he also had.
Well, now he is better from being sick and still not sleeping and DH suggested that maybe it was the cow's milk formula and we gave him soy one night and he slept so much better.
He has no other reaction from the coy's milk that I can see visibly, other than a slightly red cheek.
Do you think it could be the formula that is causing the sleep issues and fussiness and we should switch back to soy?
Should I call the ped about this?

Re: Allergy to cow's milk causing sleep problems?
It could be that or it could be that he is just in a bad habit of waking up.
DS went through a spell of colds, ear infections, teething which caused him to start waking in the night...it continuted well after he was better out of habit. Didnt get better until we did CIO.
But if he is having milk issues, that could cause stomach pain, or gas which could wake him as well...
Sorry not much help
ETA: how is he when you go get him, does he immediately stop crying if you pick him up? To me that is usually the sign of a habit. If they are in pain or uncomfortable they will still cry even as you try to console them.
