Re: Alli
The official release date is Friday.. I think some stores are putting it out early.
Oh and to answer your question, yes I'm going to use it.
I don't think its for the casual dieter, and that will dissuade most people from using it. If you use it properly, then the side effects should be minimal. It's when people don't follow 'the rules' that side effects show.

Re: Alli
They said on the news this morning if you have a low fat diet the "loose stoole" and "gasy stomach" will NOT be as bad. Im going to give it a shot.

Supposedly if you keep less than 15 grams of fat at each of your 3 meals you should not have side effects.
I read that some fat in your system will not pass thru right away - and you should start the plan without taking the pills for a couple of days.
ie. Dont take the pills on Monday if you had a high fat weekend. The fat still 'circulating' around in your system won't be out of your system yet so the pills would clean you out and you will have bad side effects until thats all done.
They also recommend to start the pills when you are not at work - so what I've decided to do my first week is to eat low fat on Weds, Thurs, Fri and then start taking the pills Friday night at dinner. That way I have Friday night, Sat and Sun to adjust to the pills before I need to go back to work.

Re: Alli
I only know about this since it was on the Colbert report:
I understand that if I take alli with a meal containing too much fat, I may get bowel changes known as treatment effects. The effects may include gas with oily spotting, loose stools, and more frequent stools that may be hard to control. Why? Because alli prevents absorption of some of the fat, and undigested fat passes through the body.
Oh no, I couldn't do that.
