Almost fainted at my landscaping quote

$2500. Chat Icon

That's to clear about 140 feet of overgrown privet, wild rosebushes, and leggy maple saplings that are growing into utility lines.

Because privet especially tends to come back if you leave the smallest bit of it behind and a fence is going there in it's place, they have to actually dig it all out with a machine.

When they're done, I'll have 1 cherry, 1 dogwood, 7 maples, 1 oak and 1 holly tree. I will gain back about 20 feet of yard back from the curb:

That quote does also include taking down a diseased 20 foot spruce tree, removal of an azalea bush, shortening and pruning 7 arborvitae and treating my weeping birch tree which is being attacked by Bronze Birch Borers. Chat Icon

But wow... That's a lot of money. I think I need to shop around a bit. I trust these guys, and they've done work for me before but I'm a little taken aback at that price.

I'll search the Home board for reccos but has anyone had a lot of work done lately where they can recommend someone? Thanks. Chat Icon

It's a lot of money but based on work that we've had done, the price sounds fair for the work they are doing. Chat Icon

That's a lot of work, and a very fair price.

This sounds like a fair price to me given the amount of work involved.
