Alpine Bakery (Cannolis)?
Does anyone know if their cannolis are good?? I've never been there so I don't know.
Or is there another bakery nearby that has better ones??
If so, please suggest!
Thanks!!

I don't get anything at Alpine...Too many bad experiences! Go to Uncle Guisseppes' or if you continue down 25a just into St. James...There's a bakery in the strip mall next to 7-11 that is very good.

I agree, I personally find Alpine way overrated. The couple of times I've gone, I've been dissappointed. I would pay for cannolis from Uncle Guisseppes.

Just so you know, I won't go there because on 4 different occassions I got pies that were moldy (the bottom of the crust so you don't know until too late) and Italian garlic bread that was completely moldy. They obviously don't change their inventory around and don't pay attention.

We got our wedding cake from Alpine, it was soooooooooooo good!!!!!
I've never had their cannolis but I'd imagine they'd be pretty good as well. Uncle Guiseppe's is good too tho, you can't go wrong either way!!

Re: Alpine Bakery (Cannolis)?
I've lived out in this area for ten years and personally don't get people's loyalty to Alpine. I think everything there is just ok. Although I shop in Uncle G's, I'm not all that impressed by their bakery either. However, a great bakery just opened in Commack, in the Northgate Center, called Casa Dolce. Its owned by the family that owns Casa Rustica and its the best Italian bakery I've been to out here.

I was wondering how that bakery is!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! Thank you! I will just go there then. And if its the same owners of the restaurant, then I know it cant be bad.
The mold stories just totally freaked me out..........
