Re: Although summer is not for quite a few months...

I will be avoiding the beach this summer. I'm having my baby at the end of May and I don't think i'll be bikini ready just yet for the summer.

Uh...gee I don't know...maybe a moo-moo??? Maybe THAT will hide my tiger claw marks??

Yay for all the lucky beyotches (and I mean that affectionately Chat Icon ) that didn't get stretch marks and will be wearing bikinis but as for me, no matter how much in shape I get, I don't know what the heck I'm going to wear because I look terrible in a one piece and I need to hide my stretch marks. Chat Icon

So I guess I'll be the one on the beach hiding under shorts and a tank top Chat Icon

This thread is just gonna p!ss me off so I should probably stay away. Chat Icon

You may be suprised:) Jack was born 5-23 of last year and I think its a great time to have a baby because as soon as you pop out your little ones you can put them in your strollers and go for walks every day which helped me out ALOT with going from the insane amount I weighed while pregnant to where I am now.

True but I don't know if it will enough time. I am due May 26 but I could go into early june as well. And it's not like you can take your newborn out right away. Don't you have to wait a week at least or two? Summer officially starts on June 21.

I wouldn't want to scare anyone at the beach...LOL

I was due the 27th.. so hehe.. I know what you were doing Labor Day 05..lol
Jack was out right away as long as it was warm. Mommy needed some new clothes that first week so he was at Target, we let him swing in the back yard on the patio, take naps on the patio in his stroller and was going on 2 mile walks by 7 days old. He was always in shade or covered up it helped me out alot mentally and physically.

And there are tons of women and young girls now too who don't have a cute little baby to hold at the beach who will look a ton worse believe me... "what is popular is not always right and what is right is not always popular... bikini wise".. lol

Stay Positive!

Hoping to be back in my bikini this summer. I am officially below my pre-preggo weight but I still feel like I can't get rid of that tiny pouch - maybe I should exercise! But then again by the summer I am well over a year post. Last summer I wore a tankini.

Thanks...and I'll try to stay positive...I'll go out with the baby but I don't know how comfortable I'll feel wearing a bikini right away. Maybe i'll stick to a one piece, that is if I make it to the beach...LOL

DH and I are not beach people. I mean we'll go to the beach like when we are on a cruise and depending on where we stop. But other than that the most we are in the water is at one of his brother's pool...

If mine fits....I might just dare to wear it. I'm not thin thin, but DH likes me in it and it'll cover up my stretch marks (they got isolated to below the belly button and only in the middle)

I'm going to try to avoid the beach this summer if at all possible. But if I have to go, I'm wearing a tankini.

Same here. I have 15lbs to go but the pounds are finally leaving quickly. I have been busting my a$$ at the gym and it is finally paying off.

Re: Although summer is not for quite a few months...

I gave birth in May 2004 and that summer, I felt the best about my body than I had in a long time. I wore a tankini though, I was never a bikini wearer (something about 38 DD boobs keeps me away).

Hopefully, as I give birth again this May, this summer will treat me the same. I have gained less weight this pregnancy, so we'll see. I spend my summers at the community pool, and with a 2 year old, he loves it and we'll do the same this summer.
