Alure Home Improvement?
Hi all!
Has anyone used Alure for any home improvement work? I know they were on Extreme Makeover...I'm wondering if anyone used them and how their prices were? We are re-doing our bathroom and kitchen.
Thanks!

Re: Alure Home Improvement?
Well they refinish everything. They put in Lots of insilation that is sound proof. They put stuff on the wall that you can spill red wine on and it wont stain. If you goto the alure.com website they have a video of it.

Re: Alure Home Improvement?
I dont really think its worth 50k for a basement UNLESS your renting it out and its an investment.... but to utilize the space as a family room or something just finishing it is fine.... The system they advertise is overkill IMO.....

Re: Alure Home Improvement?
My mom had her kitchen and bathroom done by them. The kitchen came out awesome, and the bathroom came out nice except a few months after it was completed the exhaust fan they put in broke, then started leaking and staining the ceiling because it was put in wrong in the first place and they fixed it once, and it broke again a few months later. My mom then gave up on them and had someone else come in and do it properly. Now she still to this day needs a new ceiling because of water damage and its cracking.

Re: Alure Home Improvement?
We used alure to finish our basement in july and it was no where near $50k. It was less than half of that and we have a very large basement.
Their basement finishing system is actually that the walls are not sheet rock. They are removable walls made of fiberglass. The benefit of that is that if you get water in the basement (like many of us do), you can remove the walls and dry them out (no mold!).
I highly recommend alure. The workers were professional, on time, etc. They finished the job in a week and a half.
