You are not a bad mommy. I am having a small party too just for the immediate family and my best friends, like 20 people. I think it is better because the baby really knows everyone who will be there.

DD will be 1 next month and I'm not planning much. DH wanted to have something big. I think we are just going to have pizza and cake with my husband's sister and her family (3 people). She is the only family either of us have nearby. The guest list just started to get too large when we were thinking of having a party. "If we invite this person/family, we have to invite that person/family...". I'm lokking forward to a quiet party.
