Am I behind the times with a bowling party?
I feel like everyone in Ava's class has done an ice cream party or a jump party, etc., and I my cousin works at a bowling alley that has a nice private room for preschoolers to have a bowling party, and I was thinking that would be fun and not the norm. Am I way out of touch with what little kids would find fun? I just want something fun but not the same ol' for Ava's birthday party. Be honest, I can take it BTW, it's like mini bowling in the private room, not like regular bowling. I guess it's akin to the candle pin bowling in new england.

I don't think its that unusual. Ella has been invited to 2 bowling parties in the last year.

Is it Coram Country Lanes?
We had a GTG there a few weeks ago and they have the same thing with the little lanes and Christopher and the kids didn't "get it" but they had fun (and that's all that matters!)

We probably go to them at least 2-3x a year. It's a pretty popular party. We've been to 3 bowling parties in February alone for the 6 year old set.

I guess it's just our school then! No one does bowling parties in my school, it's all jump parties or ice cream parties or wood kingdom parties. Cool. I'm going to book it then. And you know what? If they don't like it, oh well! And yes, it's the Coram bowling alley.

Re: Am I behind the times with a bowling party?
I'm actually planning a bowling party for my 4 year old this year. I think it's a really nice party idea and she's really excited about it.
nm I just realized you mentioned it was the Coram bowling alley. that answered my question. thanks
