Am I crazy that I want to buy *another* swing?

I already have the SweetPeace one by Graco, which IS great for soothing... but now I want one that will entertain Sasha since she is started to enjoy lights and mobiles and other shite like that.

She likes the Rain Forest bouncy seat-- but can only tolerate it for 15 to 20 mins-- I feel like the swing would be a bit better.

I will also add that I live in an 1100 sq foot apt!

Personally, I think there are better things to entertain them then a swing. Emerson uses her swing but I wouldn't say it was all that entertaining. She liked the fish above her head but truthfully, she had WAY more fun on her activity mat with lots of things hanging down for her to play with as well as her FP Newborn to Toddler Rocker where I added even more stuff to the toy bar with links. Swings are SO bulky and take up so much space, I would get something more practical if it were me. The FP Rocker is great and she has been using it since she was born every day and she is now almost 7 months.

My son seems to be like this and it gives me some time to do things while he is staring at the various items. He especially likes the thing at the top that lights up

Yah, I don't know about another swing either. But then, my DS only ever liked the swing for sleeping at daycare.

Do you have an activity map, mobile? At about that age I remember rotating him between the bouncy, the activity map and I would put him under the Tiny Love mobile. None of it held his attention for a huge amount of time, but it was something. And between that I would carry him around in the moby wrap.

We have a regular swing and a travel swing. DD liked the regular one better but we used the travel one in different parts of the house, plus we were able to take it with us. It had lights and some stuff hanging from it.

i did this. i had a small one that my DD did not enjoy. she didn't really like her bouncy either. so i sent my DH to get the huge rainforest one. we have a really small house too btw. anyway, was a waste...she disliked that one too pretty much. got little use out of it and it's now sitting in my basement! so i can understand why you want another swing but not sure it will do the trick. i was desperate for DD to like and be entertained by something!

I would wait another month and get the exersaucer/jumperoo. I have the Fisher Price one and DS loves it. He's actually in it now!
