am i creating a bad habit?

lately hannah has been drinking 4 + oz per bottleChat Icon Chat Icon ! but she will drink about 2.5 oz and then get fussy. i stop for a few minutes and put her in her swing and then she finishes the rest of the bottle. she gets very squirmy and i am wondering if she is just too interested in her surroundings. but now i am arfaid i am creating a bad habit by letting her finish in her swing or bouncer chair. i was thinking of getting her a highchair and seeing if feeding her in there would help.

what do you think? is this typical behavior of a 4 ms old?

I think that at 4 months old, you do what you have to, to get them to sleep, and eat.

Ideally it's better if she drinks the bottle in one sitting, but my feeling is that some babies are just snackers. Could she be getting squimy because she needs to be burped? I know Maddie would stop eating when she needed to be burped. I would pat her until she finally did and then she'd eat the rest of the bottle.

Also if you're using the swing that would also help with a gassy belly.

Honestly - whatever works for you. The only bad habits I would watch out for with a bottle is letting them fall asleep with the bottle when they have teeth to avoid bottle rotChat Icon and letting a baby crawl /walk around with a bottle.

I agree. I've heard that it's bad for a baby to fall asleep with a bottle in their mouth.
