Re: Am I on another planet???? Working moms - what are your thoughts?
I totally agree with the other posters on this post, but that being said.....when you are a working mom whether you like it or not you miss out on a lot of "mommy and me" type things offered. Mom's clubs usually hold their meetings during a workday, music classes for kids are usually held during the day, and I could go on and on.
It is what it is. While I respect every working mother AND SAHM, everyone feels guilty about what they can and cannot do with their kids. I think the best advice is you do what is best for you and your kids. If someone makes a rude comment about it, don't say anything and move on. As a working mom I have gotten a few of them, and I am sure I have made a few of them. I know for me it's more of "the grass is always greener" at some point, but I always think back to the fact I am doing what I want and it works for our family and THAT is what is important and WHO THE F*** cares what others say.

WOW - i cant believe that?? I took the YogiBaby class there and honestly the instructor (who is also the owner) was AMAZING!!! She was so great with the babies. It was a really fun class! I agree that the woman behind the counter was rude to you and I can understand why you are upset with the comment she made regarding the time of the class, but that is not the experience me or my friend (jameswife) who took the class there had...we really really loved it!!! I would let the owner (Leslie) know what happend...

I don't post on here often, but I just wanted to say that I took YogiBaby at Absolute Yoga and the class and instructor were AMAZING! Please do not get discouraged by one employee because it was really a great class for new moms and babies. The instructor was also one of the BEST instructors I've had in all my 'Mommy and Me' classes-- she really made an effort to connect not only with the moms, but also the babies. I highly recommend taking the class if you can fit it into your schedule!!

I hate people like that. It infuriates me that most of the mom and me classes are during the week.

I think the woman was a complete moron.
And i agree there should be more stuff during the weekend, but...well just trying to see things in another light...maybe there would be too high of a turnout if these things were on a weekend and they can't accommodate it?? I'm not sure. With a weekend you are dealing with two days as opposed to 5....

You were nice to her. Because I wouldnt have shot back with a nasty remark that would make her spit those nuts out of her mouth.
