Am I over - reacting?
My DH stepfather said that he needs DH to drive with him to NC on 8/15 to drop off a vehicle and then fly back, the next day.
Here is my problem - he never asked DH, i felt as if he told DH and DH has a problem saying no to anyone to asks a favor. I will be 37 weeks pregnant - I know it is probably 1 in a million that I got into labor that exact night, but I am mad that DH didn't even THINK of it and that the stepfather even was selfish enough to ask at this time.
So should I put up a stink and tell him not to go or just forget it and pray I don't go into labor that night?
then the stepfahter has the nerve to say "don't worry I will be paying for the plane tickets home, you don't have to pay"

Re: Am I over - reacting?
I would definately be annoyed. But I guess depending on how badly he needed DH's help I would let him go - as long as I could have someone stay with me. If there was no one who could stay with me then no Way!!
Good luck!

Re: Am I over - reacting?
I would be annoyed too. I think I would be most annoyed that he didn't ask DH. The stepfather sounds like he's clueless and it probably didn't even occur to him that you are so close to delivering. I think I would probably let him go, but I would let the stepfather know that he should really ask in the future (even though it sounds like he probably won't listen anyway.)

I would be annoyed too. Can DH suggest he take someone else along, but tell him in a worst-case-scenario he'll go, he just doesn't feel comfortable given his wife is due around that time.

I think thats def a good answer. It would make me nervous having DH away from me too.

Scott did not travel once I hit 35 weeks. There is just too much of a chance of anything happening.
