Um, I have one dress and I'm debating on "splurging" for a more casual but Christmassy outfit for the Christmas Eve fish dinner at BIL's.

Haha, I bought one dress for Christmas Eve and one for Christmas Day. I contemplated something different for Santa and Xmas card photos, but I think she'll wear one of the dresses for each just so I can say she wore them twice.

You are so not a nut!!!!
DD also has a few outfits for all the purposes you stated!!! LOL!!

I think it's so much fun to dress them how we want them to right now. They'll probably not going to cooperate when they are older!!

Re: Am I the only nut (Christmas attire related)

Nope.

DD has 2 casual Christmas themed shirts for the holiday party at work and to see santa. Once dress for Christmas Day, one for Christmas eve. Pajamas for Christmas eve, Pajamas for Christmas night.

DD2 just has 2 little "My first Christmas" outifts since she'll only be a few weeks old.

Re: Am I the only nut (Christmas attire related)

I have a dress for DD for Christmas Eve, another one for Christmas Day and the day after Christmas we go to DH's aunt's house, so I have another outfit for that. She also has an outfit for pictures with Santa. The only place I saved is that she will probably wear 1 of her 4 outfits for her Christmas pictures, I don't have a separate outfit for that. She also has 2 pairs of Christmas pajama's and 3 'baby's 1st Christmas' bibs.

Re: Am I the only nut (Christmas attire related)

We have the dress for the christmas pics, dress for santa's lap. Outfits for carroling and holiday shows and then something for christmas eve. Usually they all go on for a few hours, but do get re- used since my kids are messy and we usually need a few outfit changes during the holidays.

Re: Am I the only nut (Christmas attire related)

If I had a girl, she would be wearing different outfits for everything and possibly have multiple costume changes during the course of one day. But since that's not the case, my son will be wearing the same one outfit I found for his pics and Christmas day and then a casual outfit for Santa and I don't know yet for Christmas Eve. Maybe some nice holiday stretch pants. Chat Icon

Re: Am I the only nut (Christmas attire related)

i do have 2.. christmas and xmas eve.. one of which will be worn for card pictures and one with santa. I only did that because ds tends to get so messy these days and don't want to bother with having to rush home xmas eve to do laundry for him to have something to wear xmas day.

Re: Am I the only nut (Christmas attire related)

You are not alone. The reason I went so nuts this year was because we had an entire wardrobe in her current size from hand me downs so I splurged for holiday wear. At least that's how I justify it but I'm a little nuts too.

I have 5 outfits for DD. I like her to have something for each event. A couple double up but not for any people we see more than once.

Dress 1 - Fanciest outfit. Dress with velvet black top, long sleeves, empire waist plaid skirt. Christmas Day and Christmas card photo.

Dress 2 - Red sparkly 3/4 sleeve for Christmas Eve, and a Holiday Party with her TKD school.

Outfit 3 - Plaid pleated skirt with red shirt with matching plaid design for Santa Photo and a Holiday Party at the American Legion Post we belong to.

Outfit 4 - Ivory Sweater Dress with snow flakes and black leggings. She'll wear this when she goes to see Cinderella's Christmas with her Grandparents and when we take her to see Peter Pan (a surprise Christmas Present) Probably to school too after the holidays.

Outfit 5 - I couldn't resist, it's a Green Tunic with Candy Canes and red, white and green candy cane striped leggings. She'll probably wear it to her school party and to the tree lighting in our town.
