Am I the only one that didnt wake their baby last night
I didnt see the point of waking DS up at midnight. Especially since another tooth is about to cut and he has be kinda difficult to put to sleep. I also didnt feel it was necessary because he is only 8.5 months old and doesnt understand.

We don't wake our kids up for New Years either. When wwe get them to bed its the only private time we have.

We didn't wake up Julia - but we did walk into her room after 12:00 am to give her a quick kiss and leave.
I didn't see the point in waking her up either since she doesn't yet understand - we didn't want to startle her.

Nope, not alone. She is teething and is hard enough to get to sleep I wouldn't want to torture myself with having to get her back to sleep at midnight. Honestly I don't think I would ever wake my kids up at midnight, I don't really see the point.

Considering I myself was asleep...I didn't wake either of my kids. And even if I was awake, I would never do that. That is asking for trouble!

I never wake the kids. My daughter was allowed to stay up but she fell asleep at 10:30. My dh asked if I wanted to wake her and I said no!

You mean people actually wake their babies to wish them a Happy New Year???!!!
I myself was asleep thanks to Ny-Quil (have a cold), but the darn fireworks woke me up at midnight!

That's what I was thinking!?  Who the heck wakes their kids at midnight? They don't even know what New Years is at this point. 
Meanwhile, my 16 month old was up at 1:10 (after DH and I went to sleep at 12:30)...

Some asked me last night when they called us wish us a Happy New Year and were surprised that I was almost asleep and that I didnt wake DS up. I have felt bad all morning and I know she didnt mean for me to feel bad. So I was just wondering. She is pg with her first so I think she will understand more next year.

Wake them up? Are you serious that people would do this? No way here! I cringed a little when the phone rang at 12:03 a.m. and it was my parents wishing us a happy new year, but I didn't mind. My kids sleep well and the phone would never wake them up!

I never woke my son. I always just give him a kiss and whisper happy new year, but no need to wake him. He doesn't know what it all means anyway.

I guess I am the only one who's baby was still up! Jeremy isn't really on any sort of a schedule since being away last week. He napped most of the night but was up at midnight.

We didn't wake him up but the fireworks sure did. It was just as bad as the 4th of July around here. One in particular was very loud - it was our next door neighbors - sounded like an M-80. They won't be doing that next year though - their baby is due this month.

My DD has slept through the night for the last 4 nights, but last night she woke up about 15 minutes before so I kept her up and about 1 minute after 12 she zonked out, lol. I wouldn't have woke her up on my own though

Oh God no, I let her sleep! We were at our friend's house and she only went to sleep at 10pm in the pack n play - I def wasnt waking her up!

Oh no mine was still up. Him sleep??? bite your tongue. No he was up. at 10:15 he had a 20 minute catnap. We got home at 1 and he was asleep by 1:45...
