Amazon Fire Stick
Anyone know anything about this?

Is this all I would need to access netflix or amazon prime on my T.V or do I need to buy some other device?
Does my t.V have to be relatively new - ours is about 8 years old - still in perfect condition but not sure its up to speed for this.
It seems like a good deal but I think I must be missing something....

Amazon Fire Stick
i have the original stick and it works just like my regular roku. Im thinking of getting this too since its only $19 for prime members right now

You need HDMI as stated before and wireless access.
This is different then chromecast as Chromecast must be driven from tablet/phone/computer where Fire Stick has a remote like a Roku. Pros and Cons.
Awesome deal for next 2 days if Prime. I thought about it as it will be easier to get to Amazon Video rather then PS4/PS3.

Its a way to get apps to your TV like netflix, Amazon Video (if you have prime, you have a good selection of free videos/movies) and other apps.
Fire stick will also let you play some games on your TV. Look on the page to see what it does. It comparable to ruku and chromecast if you have those devices. Each do slightly different things.

When I put it in my cart it still showed up as $39 but when I went to checkout it took off the $20 and was $19. It is out of stock though. Estimated ship date is 1/9.

I just learned about this.
If i am understanding this correctly as long as i have a device to plug the stick into i basically dont have to pay cable monthly and can just pay $39 for this and be done??

You will have to subscribe to something- Netflix, HULU, Amazon Prime- etc.
