On another note, not liking it nearly as much as the first season. the first season I was intrigued and hooked from the get go, this one, so far it is, eh.

alien abduction scenes!!! To make matters infinitely worse (if that was even possible) He totally bit off of Fire In The Sky!!! Which to me, is THE MOST terrifying movie ever made.  I'm so not sleeping tonight.

I didn't even realize that was Mark Consuelos!
I was calling him Tate too all last night while watching it.

I absolutely love this show, but I feel the same as you.
Last season, I was hooked from the very beginning. I'm not feeling that as much with this first episode, but I also think that it'll be more of a slow build-up.
I love the setting of it and the premise, however, I'm not so much a fan of the alien abduction thing.

American Horror Story starts tonight!
I so want to be able to watch this series! I think Ryan Murphy is a creative genius!!
I hate that there is so much hype and excitment to it and my chicken shitt scared self can't even handle the promos for it. I have to look away or change the channel :P I know I would not be able to handle this show not even for a second.

Loved it! Love Tate! (he'll always be Tate to me, too).
The only thing I had a problem with was Jessica Lange. I’m so used to her playing her character from the 1st season. I miss her!! But, I’m sure I’ll get used to her new character.

This bothered me so much! I was like COME ON! REALLY? Fingers crossed it gets better but it really kind of bored me.

I didn't sleep well. 
I was really freaked out by the scene.
And the chip/bug thing.
All along with last season, I was all "this is cool, whatever, 'Horror?!' HARDLY!" and now they done scared the beejeezus out of me.

Same - the alien abduction freaks me out - have you ever read Taken by Dr Karla Turner? Creepy, creepy things. She died from cancer about two years after her book was published, and you can barely find it anywhere. I have chills just thinking about it.

finally watched it last night creeptastic! I have a feeling we are supposed to hate lang in the beginning but I bet she turns out to be the good guy.
what the hell is the doctor doing? how will the abduction fit it?

Thats right! I couldn't place her but knew she looked familiar. I like that previous actors are returning.
DH didn't watch last season with me and I begged him to watch this season...... and then itweas just ok. I am going to stick with it because I am sure it will get better. Last season I was hooked the first minute, this seasonm eh

I never watched the first season and I wasn't impressed with this first episode.
I found it boring and not scary.
I will see how it goes in the next few episodes but I have a feeling I'll be cancelling the Season Pass on my Tivo if it doesn't get better
