American Idol...
Is anyone even excited about watching it?
This hasn't really been an exciting season. I'll watch it them sing tonight but I probably won't watch it tomorrow. We have dinner plans with someone...if we are home in time we'll watch but if not then no big deal...it will probably be 1 or 2 hours of nonsense before you get to find out who wins...

More like - with AI on tonight - who cares about any other show  Doesn't AI always win the ratings on it's nights?
I think it's been a pretty good season actually. Last season S UCKED with Fantasia.... ugh...just awful.

ETA: I think that there was so much more talent as the years go by, but with added disappointment (need I bring up SCOTT!??).

Agreed. I liked this season MUCH better than last season, although season 2 (the first season I really watched) is still my favorite.

As much as I love AI i foolishly put myself on to work tonight and tomorrow night (just wasn't thinking!) so I'll be taping it but I know I'll find out who won before I even watch it.

I really tried to get into AI, but the few times I sat down and watched it, I just couldn't get through more than 10 minutes before I had to turn it off. It seems to me like the finalists are just being picked based on how well they fit a stereotype, IMO. So for the final episode we're down to the Creed/Black Crowes wannabe and the next Leann Rimes.... Not very original if you ask me. Sure they can sing, but what are they offering that I have yet to see in all the other artists out there? Sorry, I really think this show sux and the only reason why people watch it now is to see Simon be a ba$tard.. Ugh, enough of the reality TV craze already!!

I agree with bluegrl that the last two are about stereotypes, and not complete overall talent & performance. Either way, they're both great singers, and we have have to stand by what America chooses either way.

I am excited for the show tonight. Good Day New York said this morning what they will both be singing so that took a little of the fun out of it but I still love to see them perform. I am an AI geek.
I am also upset at NBC for putting the Contender on tonight opposite AI. I can't watch one thing and tape another on my TV so my mom is going to tape the Contender for me and I will have to watch it another time. I just hope that I don't find out who won before that (but I am sure I will  )
