Well, with Howard Stern *backing* Sanjaya, I don't think he's going home any time soon. I was listening to Howard this morning and his listeners are calling in -- a lot of them -- and some of them are using devices to place 20 calls a minute! Even DH wanted to jump on the bandwagon and call in for Sanjaya. I told him NO WAY, I can't stomach him.

This is absolutely the WORST SEASON EVER! They might be getting viewers now because of the horror show that this season has become, but when ticket sales from the concert tour are the lowest ever, they'll realize how the messed up allowing this kid to even make it to the semi-finals.
I thought it was interesting that the judges didn't speak AT ALL last night. That's a first.

Uch..I just watched. Although Stephanie didn't deserve to be the one to go, I'm not surprised. IMO, she's really not that memorable. She has a great voice, but little personality. I had a feeling she would go sooner than later, but of course, Sanjaya and Haley should have gone first.
I'm not thrilled with the voting, but all of my favorites are still there, so I'm not horribly upset. None of the people I have voted for have left so far.
I feel like Stephanie is comparable to Kimberely Locke....nice voice, but no originality. It always sounds like she's trying to be the original artist! She needs to find something in herself that makes her different.
I completely agree. I'm not upset to see her go, but she should've been there longer than Sanjaya and Hayley.

I'll be the one person defending Sanjaya. He seems like a really sweet good kid. I don't think his voice is that bad. He's just an amateur, which is what this competition is supposed to be made of. Personally, I think he was set up to fail. Every season they put a teenage boy into the competition with an amateur voice and the judges and the whole country talk viciously against him with a sort of gang mentality. I say leave the kid alone. If you dont' like him, don't vote for him. Also, I can't imagine that there are sooo many people out there that hate American Idol so much that they would follow Howard Stern's advice.
