American Inventor
Has anyone been watching this -- the carseat that flips around during impact? I just couldn't imagine putting my child in a carseat that spins around -- and how sensitive would it be? Would the baby be flipping around whenever you stopped short?
Any ideas?

Re: American Inventor
The engineers that did the testing with crash test dummies and monitors were pretty amazed at the results. They said that it definately lessened the impact on the infants body in a crash. The I'm sure they can build in trigger points where it needs a certain amount of force to trigger it, just like an airbag.

Re: American Inventor
I liked the seat, I love the idea that instead of trying to withstand the force of the car crash, it works with the motions of the car.
It makes a lot of sense to me.

Re: American Inventor
as for the football catch thing, I was really surprised his made it that far. I cant imagine there is a big market for that- It certainly doesn't appeal to me

Re: American Inventor
He had some very compelling results in the second round. They took it to a high school football team that had been losing big-time and with just a few hours of use the improvement in their catching ability was amazing. I think there is a big sports market for it when you consider all the jr. varsity and varsity team, and even college teams. Any kid serious about wanting to be a receiver would want on if they are trying to get on the team.

see I didnt see his episodes so I missed that- I didnt think of kids using it b.c he showed an adult version.
Even still it only appeals to young men who are interested in football
There is probaby a big market for sport stuff like that, its just hard for me to see it.

Re: American Inventor
the baby seat is supposed to recreate the way the baby is protected in the mother's womb. Personally, I think he should win. The idea behind it is really good.

Re: American Inventor
i just read on another forum that it would be good until 7 months about (because of size) and would be about $300 to purchase but they are hoping to have a lease program.
I would like to know more about it definately.
