american legion halls in bklyn

anyone book one of these places for a party? I have no idea what the heck im doing for DS party. everything is $$$ and lots of places are booked now.

if you have used one of these, please let me know how the pricing is, what, if anything is included.

We have friends that have had almost all of their parties at either a Knights of Columbus or similar type places in Brooklyn. They recently had a party at the Moose Lodge on 18th Avenue and only paid a few hundred to rent the hall but had to take care of all the food themselves with an outside caterer. Most K of C have their own caterer that you have to use. The prices seem to differ from each one though. Also, being a member makes a difference as well. You usually get some kind of discount if you or a close relative are members.
