AMEX Gift cards
I received a few before in past..Im pretty good at knowing how to use them. I worked for Simon GC, selling them.
Anyways, I made a purchase last nite, have a $100 gc, purchase was $47 ish. I did the math but double checked online to see, make sure and it shows I have a $0 balance 
errrrrrrrr, why?

was it for gas or at a restaurant? maybe there's a hold for some reason that will be released in a day or two.

I had the same problem and called Amex and they said the gas station I used put the whole card on hold and the hold comes off after 7 days.
