Hi ladies,

I know that this was probably discussed at one point, but anyone else have really low #'s? I feel like I'm wasting my time...

My DH is saying to ask the our RE but he's most likely not going to say, yeah we don't think you should go thru another IVF cycle and that miracles happen... etc... but is this going to take a miracle? any positive stories/outcomes on this?

This is so hard ..I'm at a low this week mentally...

Re: AMH/FSH

I have very high FSH (26) and pretty low AMH and was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure. You can look up some of my posts on the board from 2012 .

I was about to start IVF, knowing that it was most likely not going to get me a baby cause my I just didn't have many/any good eggs left. I did not belieive a miracle could happen to me. I was waiting for my period to start IVF, $14K of drugs in my house, they were putting me on some high doses. I got a positive pregnancy test instead. I have a happy and healthy 1 year old. I always wanted 2-3 kids, but I will be happy with my one amazing miracle.

Feel free to FM me too! I would be happy to talk to you about any of it!

Good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: AMH/FSH

I have low AMH, high FSH, AND a precious LO at home. My RE was honest about my low numbers, but was always positive. She put me a specific protocol for DOR. This diagnosis isn't the end of the road (although it feels that way). I will tell you not to give up and continue with IVF. You will see many girls on here have the same issue and went on to have successful pregnancies.

My AMH is .72. My FSH is 11 something. My RE has told me that my best chance of getting pregnant would be using donor eggs, but that there is a possibility that IVF will work using my own eggs. They felt that my chemical was likely caused by poor egg quality, but said that the fact that we didn't get any good eggs on that round doesn't mean that there aren't any good eggs in there. For my age range, the practice's success rate is around 40%, but they've been honest that my likelihood of success would be lower than that.

They've recommended some changes to my protocol for next time, including using HGH.

Re: AMH/FSH

my fsh was 26 the cycle of my IVF, every cycle before that was around 6. Not sure what my AMH was that cycle.

I only produced 4 eggs on a very aggressive protocol.

ETA: i did have a successful pregnancy that cycle tho.

Re: AMH/FSH

My AMH was .76, FSH was 9.8, when I had the IVF that resulted in my 1 year old DD.

My AMH was .26, can't recall FSH, when I had the IVF that resulted in my current pregnancy.

Numbers aren't everything.

I have a .03 AMH. I have one DS naturally, and one DD from failed IVF cycle that we did an IUI.

Re: AMH/FSH

Thank you for the input and for sharing your experiences! My RE didn't change my protocol for this next cycle ...they retrieved 10 eggs last time and 4 fertilized (which were the ICSI ones) .... I'm going to ask if we should add anything this next time.
