And Im gonna send my child for lessons w/ you?
Last night we took DS to a craft fair/carnival around the corner from our home.
One of the tables was a place where you could get music lessons, and do birthday parties. They had the most adorable little drum set set-up, so I took Ryan out to give it a try.
The woman (I assume the owner) comes over to talk to me, and tells me what it was all about. She was very nice and informative..
HOWEVER- As she is talking my eyes are wondering (Im always very aware of my surroundings) and the 2 people sitting at the table (also wearing X company shirts) are pouring RUM into their soda bottles.
Now- I have nothing against drinking, but if you cant even stay sober, for a few hours to work a carnival table- then I doubt you'll be sober while at work, giving lessons to a child.
Needless to say, I wont be having a b-day party NOR using them for lessons anytime soon!

Now remember - Clapton was at his best while on heroin.
I can't see getting trashed at a children's carnival. Way to get business! That poor woman needs to keep a better eye on her employees.

This says it all. I would think if one can't lay off the booze at a carnival (really for children) for a couple of hours, even if it is a Sat. night, and are sneaking it, then it's highly likely that one has a drinking problem.
I hope everyone else there realized this.

I also want add these were not young adults- these were full grown adults...
DH was like you shouldve said something, but the way I see it- Im sure this woman knows who she is dealing with (or maybe has possible ownership with) and if she dosent, she'll know soon enough...
Talk about unprofessional!

Same here! I would have said right to her face "Are you also going to teach my child how to become an alcoholic? Is that extra or a free service you will be including?"

I agree. My first thought was that they were family/friends of hers and just there to hang out with her so she wasn't alone for the carnival. But even if that were the case, they should have waited until afterwards to drink. It leaves a bad impression.

I would've said something immediately. If you saw it, someone else likely did as well.
