And it starts.......

I just logged onto my school's attendance program to check out my roster for the upcoming year.

Anyone else besides me check not so much for the schedule, but more for the "names", hoping certain names are NOT on there?

Me. I have two students repeating. One was mine last year and is repeating the elective he failed (because he was suspended quite a bit and did not make up his work). The other was not mine,but did not qualify for the regents because of missing labs last year - oh joy!

I hear you....I'm hoping against hope that the I can spread the wealth to the other teachers!!!! I taught one period of a different subject last year for the first time, and some days I wanted to run out the door!

Of course, the subject in question, the roster hasn't been posted yet!

You're lucky you can check. We don't get our class lists til the day before school starts.

I am in NYC so we have this attendance site. I logged in,..and all I can say is WOW! The names I have this year are great! My DH asked what nickname I was giving them! HAHA! But... we shall see if it changes!

I didn't know about this... What's the attendance site?

(btw- it's my 2nd year in the system so of course by now I have learned they don't tell you ANYTHING....... Everything I learned about the DOE was by word of mouth )

I think ARIS is the site- https://www.arisnyc.org/aris/login it depends on the school though if they put the names in or not. I know there is NOTHING on mine- not even from previous years! check it out though!
