And, the Worst Mommy of the YEAR Award goes to ME
I put Jack to bed - he was fine and so happy.
About 30 mins later my DH came home and Jack was standing and screaming. DH wanted to go see him of course - I told him not to - to go get the Chinese.
I kept watching Jack in the monitor (he wasn't yelling anymore) and found it so strange that he wasn't moving an inch- just standing perfectly still. So I decided to go up there about 4-6mins later I think.
He threw up - and it was EVERYWHERE. All over him - his hair - everywhere. I felt so bad I didn't go up right away. I wish these monitors could show us EVERY little detail in the crib.
He's up now - drinking pedialyte and hanging out. he didn't eat anything out of the ordinary so I'm hoping it's not a virus.

Aww, don't feel bad. It has happened to a lot of us  Hopefully whatever it was is now out of his system and he is all better

Don't feel bad it happens to the best of us. You don't have ESP and even if you had gone in there right after he got sick it wouldn't have changed the fact that he already got sick, you couldn't have prevented it.

DD threw up once in her sleep and did not cry or anything....I went in there in the morning and it was EVERYWHERE...I felt bad too

This happened to me too. I think my DS was about 16 or 18 months old. He did it during the night I guess, and I slept through it I found him in the morning, it was all over one side of the crib, his pj's, etc. The worst part was I vaguely remembered him whining/crying a little bit during the night, but it stopped so I just fell back asleep without checking on him
It has happened to soooo many people, don't feel bad!

Same happened to me a few weeks ago when Ale had a stomach virus. I went to get her in the morning and there was dried puke all over. Who knew??

Diana, the other night while Frankie was trying to go to sleep, he started crying. I thought it was strange because he rarely ever cries after we walk out of the room. Anyway about 5 minutes later he calmed down so I went to peek on him.........his leg, all the way up to his thigh, was stuck in between the crib slots DH had to manipulate his leg to get it out. He was hysterical to say the least. We both felt terrible for not going in sooner. Do not beat yourself up...you didnt know.

These things happen! You said it yourself---the monitor doesn't give you such a great picture. Forgive yourself!!! He is okay so no harm done.

Thanks everyone.
I had to fight back the tears bc I didn't want to upset him.
But - the funny part is - the kid was just so grossed out that he wouldn't move a muscle - not even his little pointer finger which was sticking out the entire time - until I had him in the bath!

I would have felt horrible too...But Its not like it was 3 hours he was in there with puke KWIM? A few minutes is ok , you didnt know. Dont be hard on yourself
