I am so exhausted right now. Andrew is sooo sick. He has an infection in his body but can't figure out where it is coming from.
He also has a double ear infection which is really bad. He got the second while on antibiotics so we have to bring him to an ENT to look into tubes.
And they can't seem to get his white blood cell count down.
I am a mess. I am so worried about him.
On top of all this he is teething soo bad. As soon as the pain medicine wears off he screams and screams in pain.
We can use some prays please
Updated: We went to the dr. today and they had more test reults for us.
Good News: One ear is clear and the other bad ear is getting better. His fever is gone for now. And his coloring is coming back. Also his white blood cell count is going down.
Bad News: He has RSV, Adnoid Virus (sp) and Anemia. I can't believe all this at one time. Oh yeh and his Pink Eye came back
Poor Andrew. My ped said they are having a major problem with ears this winter. Bella is JUST getting over her double ear infection from a week before Christmas...two meds later, it's gone...for now.
Did they check his urine? My DD went through something similar and it turned out she had a UTI. I think it's less common in boys, but I know it can happen.
Another thought - they checked my DD's blood when she was sick (a different time) and were convinced she had some sort of infection, but couldn't find it. It turns out they were werong - it was a virus (coxackie) and the white blookd cells were elevated to fight that. The white blood cells are just an indication, not a definite.
I feel for you - I have been through this too many times to count.
