I havent in the past but I may start, since DH and I just celebrated our first and my parents took us out to dinner.
I never thought to buy someone else an anniversary gift, unless they were having a big celebration.

I have given them a present every year since I was little. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be who I am today. I don't think the monetary value of the gift counts, just let them know that you remembered their anniversary.
