"Annoying" Holiday Decorations WWYD?
Ok, I'm going to sound like a potential Scrooge, so forgive me...I do love the holidays with every fiber in me, but...
My next door neighbor has one of those blow up holiday decorations that plays music. Although I think it is super cute, the music continuously plays until at least 11 pm...
The clincher is it is located right near my DDs window...it's definitely loud enough for her to hear it.
Is there a polite way to ask them to possibly turn off the music by 9 pm? Would this be too forward or rude?
I know them well enough to be invited to their birthday parties, but we're not friends...

omg.. i had no idea they have them with music
yea i can totally see where you are coming from..
i would definitely ask them politely about turning the music off at least by 9pm.. they have to have a little respect for their neighbors!

I think its completely acceptable for you to ask them to turn the music off. Just tell them that you love the decoration and DD thinks it's just so cute, but because it's so close to her window you'd really appreciate it if they could turn the vloume off by 8:30-9pm. I think that's more than reasonable.

Our neighbors have the light up tress that play music and its on until past 11pm we can't hear it from inside so i can't complain but when i am outside they are prety loud and quite annoying. But if i could hear it i would go ask them to turn them off earlier,

I would call the local town hall first and find out what the noise ordinance says. Chances are the law will back you up on having it shut off during the week at 9PM.

If you're in the Town of Hempstead, the noise ordinance starts at 11pm.

You can still hear it inside?
i'm sure if you explain to the neighbors that it's right near the kids' window, they will not give you a hard time about shutting the sound off -
They may even have it on a timer and end up shutting the whole thing down at 9pm
