Annual Review - More testing?
DS is 3. He was in EI and this is his first year of CPSE. He's in a full day center based program at Brookville at Marcus avenue.
I just got the annual review letter from my district. His annual review is set for March 3rd.
Will he be reevaluated before then? What data are they using to make recommendations for next year?

Re: Annual Review - More testing?
He will be re-evaluated in all of the services areas he receives using standardized tests prior to his annual review CPSE meeting. His service providers will use the results from his testing, their clinical/education observations & judgement, information they gather from each other as far as his strengths and weaknesses in all areas of development and any info you have provided them to determine what his program should look like for the next school year. If he regresses substantially over vacations or long periods of time without services, then he can qualify to receive services over the summer. Summer services are to prevent substantial regression only. Often if a child attends a special ed preschool the team will usually meet with the parents/gaurdians to discuss their reports prior to the formal CPSE meeting with the district & county representivie. You have a right to receive the reports a week prior to his CPSE meeting.
