Another ? abot BM and formula supplementing
I have been EBF for the past 12 weeks and after 9 long weeks of trying every bottle and nipple in the world to get my DD to drink my pumped BM, I am giving up on that idea.
Today we tried giving her formula in a bottle and DD took it with a little resistance, but nonetheless, drank the entire bottle.
So now I have decided to continue to nurse her bot bottle feed her with formula when needed.
My question is, how do I know how many ounces she should be getting during the day. I will be going back to work soon. So DD would be getting the formula during the day while I am at work (since she refuses to drink breastmilk from a bottle) and then I will nurse her early morning and evening hours.
She is 3 months. I have no clue if she should get 4 oz every 3 hours or 6oz. I'm clueless. Please help. My MIL and I are trying to practice in preparation for my return to work since she will be babysitting.
TIA

I don't BF. But my DS is 3 months old too and he takes 4 oz every 3 hours.
BUT from what I have been reading, that is a little less than a lot of other babies his age, but he doesn't take more.
I'd offer her 4 and see if she still seems hungry.
