Another b-day party question (sorry!)-- re: food

So if we go the smaller route, and do something at our house for maybe 20 people, what would I do for food, since I'm not much of a cook Chat Icon Make everything (between myself & family)? Or cater fully? Or a split between both?

Thanks! Sorry for all the party questions Chat Icon

I come from a non-catering type of family, so I would say to have a BBQ. It's easy and yummy!

Don't worry about the questions!

I am having DS' party at home. We're having hamburgers and hot dogs (which DH and FIL will prepare) I will be making bake ziti (SUPER easy), chicken fingers, fries or tater tots (those are for the kids). I will have snack stuff set out for when people arrive. I am also thinking of having MIL make a regular salad and potato salad.

We are having a BBQ backyard party. It's casual enough for our family and friends and it won't cost a fortune. We will probably go to BJ's for food and plates, etc..

I ordered a hero in the shape of a #1, pizza, salad, chips n salsa, a veggie tray and cheese and crackers. I'm not the cooking type and I didn't want to pay a fortune for ziti, etc.

We're doing it at the house and I'll be making most of the food....

We'll probably do BBQ and make some chaffing dishes with Baked Zitk, Swedish Meatballs, and Some Mixed Veggies. We wont BBQ burgers and Dogs but we'll do Steak and Ribs..and we'll probably have some chicken nuggets for the kids.
