Another clothing question
How long did your winter coat fit? I am going to be at the end of my term in the winter and I am trying to think of whether or not I will need a maternity coat or if a larger misses will work.

i am due in Dec, I think I am just going to wind up wearing one of DH's. I really can't see spending on a coat.

Ya know I was just thinking of how coats are designed to be worn over heavy sweaters (in most cases) and how pregnancy usually makes you warmer, so the heavy sweater is not required thus making the jacket roomier.
Maybe I can do this. Or I could be really horrible (going to H E L L for this one). I could order a jacket in a bigger size from LLBean or Lands' End who have unconditional return policies and return it later and say it didn't meet my satisfaction

Re: Another clothing question
I'm not buying a separate coat. I only run from my house to my car to my school. This will be my only pregnancy.

Re: Another clothing question
I gave birth in April and I wore the same coat from 16 weeks until the end. It was a little big in the beginning but by the end it still fit except I couldnt button the last button. I also dont recommend getting anything super heavy because you get very hot at least I did. My jacket was a little heavier than coudroy. I also had a long coat that was down filled that I only wore when we had those really cold days.

I'm not buying a coat either. I'll wear one of my large sweaters with my down vest (unzipped). If I'm going to spend a lot of time outside for something, I'll bring one of DH's jackets.

Re: Another clothing question
Check out ebay for coats - they usually have good gap and old navy ones relatively cheap. When I was preggo, I was due in February and needed a winter coat (My coats were all fitted so no way did they fit a 8 mo preggo belly closed during real cold weather).
Before I got the coat - I wore my regular coats open and just put a heavy sweater or fleece on underneath...but when it go cold - I wanted a coat that closed and that was dressy enough to wear to the office.

Re: Another clothing question
couldn't you always just wear it open and get a nice scarf or something to keep warm, too??
