another crappy day, i didnt fall today but i hit
a parked car 
who does that?
i have a clean driving record
not anymore 
well the honest person that i am, i left my name and number on a piece of paper behind the owners windshield wipers and he calls and says you know im really not happy with this but thanks for leaving your number.
<i have no damage to my car, his front bumper fell off>

During my "younger years" I am very ashamed that I did hit a few parked cars and did not leave my number. However, I really regret it and would leave my number now. You definitely did the right thing, and things will get better. It just seems like everything bad happened at once. I mean, from what you say, there is nothing going on that has caused permanent damage, right? Its just a little tough now.
And by the way, I have been in numerous car accidents that have not been my fault at all (seven, I think). A few were hit and runs. I always wondered if it was karma coming back to bite me in the a$$.

you never know but DH is saying that KARMA is coming back to him through me, he did a couple of things when he was younger that he's ashamed to admit so now its coming back

i had a day like yours took the mirror right off my new truck while backing out of the garage. ooooops! dh is not happy!
i would have left a note too or waited til the person came out

A scratch on a bumper, no , but If i took his bumper off , then yes I would leave my number .
Someone slammed into my car and bashed the whole driver side while it was parked and he stopped and rang doorbells to find out who's car it was . I was shocked that he actually stopped because not all people would ,and as annoyed as I was , I was happy he did the right thing and thankful.
what goes around comes around , you did the right thing!!!

You definitely did the right thing. You never need to debate if doing something nice is right One of the two times my current car was hit while parked, I got a note. I was so grateful!

I had the same kind of day....I was at a light, but there was about 10 feet of space between cars (b/c there was a sidestreet in between)...I was digging for my Dunkin Donuts card & somehow took my foot off the brake & I slam the guy in front of me....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Thankfully the guy was cool & it was his work truck & he took my info but he said he doubts anything will come from it, he had no damage & my license plate is just bent, but what the hell?! Total Prego Brain!
So I can totally sympathize!

i definitely would've left my #! who knows who was watching or if there were cameras that got your license plate #. then you'd have the cops knockin on your door for leaving the scene of an accident!!!

you so VERY did the right thing...are you kidding? Karma is a VERY powerful thing (at least i believe it to be so). i will be honest - dave would've said the same thing to me - why did you leave your number??
